Fall Musky

Decided to go back to a little river my brother and I had pounded about a month ago...This time with my buddy Nick...He definitely had front row seats to a pretty good musky show...Although this snaky river that opens and narrows and opens and narrows--km after km--was heavy in current(sets of light rapids every few hundred meters), fishing it wasn't too hard...We would paddle up current and drift down, paddle up, then drift down, over and over...Structure easy to figure out. With very little weed beds and no major points, we mainly fished the sunken trees that made up the shoreline...And almost exactly at moonrise this afternoon, under a massive log, I found this 47 1/2" fall fatty...With her average sized-head (for that length), I was particularly impressed with her protruding stomach; a real porker.She hit a fire-tiger #8 Buchertail in line spinner, fought hard and was released after not too much more than a minute of being out of the water.Here are some pics...
